Overview:

We are looking for someone to lead team of producers and to Exec Produce top tier productions for our agency client.  Someone who will be a champion for the role of the producer within the agency and ensure they continue to deliver the very highest quality campaigns and projects for thier clients.

As the most senior Producer within the organisation this person will need to represent the agency within the wider industry and with our clients and potential clients.  Fantastic people skills, creativity and a broad wealth of industry experience will be the keys to making this role a success.

Above all they want someone who is passionate about live events, who enjoys producing shows for clients and is bursting with new ideas.  A person with drive and determination and the ability to lead and inspire both internal team and clients.

Creative Production Overview:

The Creative Production is made up of a Senior Producer, a Producer, 2 x Associate Producers and a Production Intern.

The team of Producers play a pivotal role in translating our clients’ objectives and messaging into an engaging story which motivates the target audience to change their behaviours. Having crafted a solution to the client’s business challenge, in collaboration with colleagues in the Strategy & Planning, Creative, Digital and Client Services teams, they will work with the Technical Production team to deliver the project on time, on budget and on brief.

Recent projects include producing keynote/plenary sessions for audiences of 3,000 in Berlin, Geneva, Milan and Singapore; producing a party for 4,000+ delegates; running 300+ sessions in 50 breakout rooms over 5 days; producing films and an event TV channel for 4 days; producing a conference at the Palace of Westminster for the CEO of IBM, crafting the CEO’s presentation; choreographing the launch of a new supercar; creating a virtual reality game.

Primary job purpose:

The Executive Producer, is the ‘go to’ expert for content production services within the UK. Leading the Creative Production team and working across the entire client portfolio, the Exec Producer plays a key role in new business development, client relations, operational delivery and team management and development.

 

New Business Development:

This individual’s in depth understanding of production services and their marketing understanding enables them to confidently develop an engaging and inspiring response to RFP’s for new business.  Commercial acumen and ability to scope out projects is vital to ensure they are both competitive in their pitch and profitable across the department.  This process includes preparing presentation documents, budgets and being an accomplished presenter capable of bringing the presentation to life and sharing our passion with the client team.

Client Relations:

From presenting initial concepts and proposals, to managing projects and project teams through to delivery and final post event analysis, the Exec Producer will need to instil confidence in the client and be able to nurture a strong and productive relationship with the entire client team.  As the Exec Producer you will need to be at ease working with some of the most powerful and successful CEOs in the world, building strong relationships with key business leaders within the client organisation will be the key to our collective success as an agency in retaining and growing our business.

Operational Delivery:

A strong knowledge of how to produce a show and engage an audience, an interest in new technology, a fastidious eye for detail and the ability to deliver a flawless show for highly complex large scale projects are givens.  On occasions the Executive Producer, will play a very active role in delivering a project whilst on other occasions the role will involve supporting and managing teams to deliver projects under your guidance and support.  Pushing for the very highest service and quality levels is vital and a desire to continually improve and push for innovation will ensure we remain an industry leader in the field of live event marketing.

Team Management:

The Creative Production team is a collection of passionate individuals at all stages of their career from those just starting off to the seasoned professionals and each requires help in achieving their full potential.  This position requires excellent communication, organisation, leadership and problem-solving skills. Delegation, planning, resource allocation and forecasting skills are all key to ensure the team runs like clockwork.

You will also be expected to proactively interact with peers and colleagues across the business including Senior Account Directors, Account Directors, Strategists, Creative Directors, Technical Directors, Event Directors and Managers. Strong project management and interpersonal skills are required to manage both internal & external requirements.

Personal Specification

Essential:

  • Significant level of experience delivering large events in an agency environment for major corporate clients in the UK, Europe and ideally further afield; strongly networked within the industry.
  • Demonstrate exceptional client relationship skills - understand a client’s business and be able to help them solve their business challenges and deliver great results.
  • Proven ability to build, develop and mentor a team that people want to be part of
  • Able to demonstrate drive, motivation and desire to grow the business.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in the interests of theirs and the client’s business; ability to handle complex budgeting and forecasting calculations.
  • Excellent presentation skills able to articulate a clear vision of success and gain the confidence of a client audience.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in software applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel:

This role will require travel, principally within Europe, but also extending to the USA, and infrequently to Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Travel may be required at very short notice.
