Initial 3-month contract

£35,000 - £40,000 Pro rata

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join an experienced events team as a Marketing & Events Budget Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the management, coordination and administration of all aspects of the newly launched ‘Procim’ event system, governance, maintenance and training support requirements. You shall ensure quality standards with the system are met and which meet the ongoing needs of the business.

For the past 10 years, our client has planned and executed multi-award-winning, international corporate events, weddings and private parties for luxury lifestyle brands and high-end individuals alike.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensure employees adhere to new rules and processes in place for: timesheets and expenses, creating projects; managing client budgets and contracts
  • Create record-keeping procedure and maintain
  • Induct new employees
  • Ensure Team Leaders have “Train the Trainer” specific training
  • Monitor and coordinate employees training support requirements; troubleshoot, provide refresher training
  • Key liaison between Management, Finance, Operations, employees
  • Work closely with internal Finance team to ensure client budgeting processes is upheld Ensure correct translation of client fees and billing
  • Provision of Management reports on a regular basis with templates set for future use
  • Conduct system audits against set standards of the organisation, identify issues or gaps and initiate extra activities and controls for continuous improvement
  • Monitor and approve all budget related expenditures

 

Skills, knowledge & requirements:

  • Experience in building client budgets (events/marketing)
  • Experience managing quality work flows, marketing or event agency ideally
  • Ability to understand comprehensive information, detailed and process driven
  • Natural leader with emphasis on employee engagement and coaching of quality principals with a hands-on approach
  • Dealing with confidential information, using discretion and sensitivity at all times
  • Commercial approach to activities to ensure best possible solution in optimal timeframe
  • Excellent written & oral communication - fluent English a must
  • Creative problem solving and top notch organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player, reliable with polished appearance
