This exciting opportunity to join a company which specialises in global leadership and management events and therefore has a diverse customer base both on a national and international basis. This is such an exciting opportunity for a candidate who loves client and team management, joining as the Senior Account Manager.

Our client looking for a candidate who has at least 4 years’ experience working within a similar agency environment in an Account Management or Client Services role. A proven track record of working at a senior level with a variety of clients and proven staff management experience is essential. As this role is providing internal communication events, our client needs a candidate who has worked within this specialism, either in house or agency side. This is a really creative role and ideal for someone who lives and breathes content and who has a proven track record in driving engagement.


Key Responsibilities


    • Project Management – Full responsibility for managing the delivery of a portfolio of client projects including large scale and high budget. Complete ownership of client communication and budget. Taking on or overseeing others in briefing internal departments, supplier liaison, content development, technical, logistics and delegate management and ensuring all paperwork completed to ISO9001 standards.
    • Content Development – Inspiring creativity and emotional engagement. Organising and facilitating creative meetings, enabling and overseeing creative content solutions for videos & events and supporting material for projects. Demonstrate a greater understanding of client strategy to advise and steer content.
    • Financial Management – Full control of all project budgets working to agreed margin targets. Timely reporting and reconciliation. Managing payment terms and invoicing to ensure all jobs are cash positive.
    • ROI – Using the company ROI framework to determine the effectiveness of events through setting and measuring clear objectives. Engaging clients with the framework to ensure full buy-in. Keeping objectives alive through all elements of the project including pre and post communication. Producing post event ROI report.
    • Client Management – Heading up day to day client relationships. Driving Business Development conversations full ownership of all project related communication. Leading and facilitating project related meetings. Creating touch-points with more senior contacts, understanding client strategy to enable higher level conversations
    • Business development – Producing Business Development plans for each client, assist with business development work including obtaining further work from existing clients, reporting on plans at Business Unit meetings. Working closely with BUD and Account Director to obtain further work from existing clients and work on a strategy to grow existing client relationship and spend
    • New Business – Working with Account Director to put together high profile/budget pitches ensuring they meet the client requirements and are in line with our brand. Being on pitch team as and when necessary. Taking ownership of smaller pitch proposals with full responsibility of creativity and content. Attending networking events and new business meetings where appropriate
    • CRM – Responsible for keeping CRM up to date with client contacts, updating notes etc.
  • Line Management – Line Management of Account Executive and/or Production Executive. Supporting direct reports to perform at their best and enabling training and development in line with the company GREAT communication framework. Regular communication including probationary period meetings, quarterly appraisals and other performance related meetings as and when necessary. Active involvement in the recruitment process of Account Executives/Production Executives.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ event production experience ideally in an agency environment
  • Large budget event experience – including international preferable
  • Line management experience
  • Experience of content development and how to bring alive messaging in a conference environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills – excellent presenter and confident at communicating at a senior level.
