An update from Susan Tarver, our MD.

We have had a great start to 2025 here at royall, with a number of successful placements across a range of positions, including entry to mid-level project delivery candidates, as well as strategic senior and executive-level roles.

Here is some wonderful feedback following our most recent placement with a client we have worked with for over a decade.

“Just wanted to take the time to thank and compliment Royall. You have all been totally professional in your approach, asking insightful questions and, most of all, listening to the brief. I feel you have invested time in understanding us as an agency, including the culture of the company and our goals for the future. I have worked with many recruitment companies over the years for similar appointments, and I can confidently say you are head and shoulders above your perceived competitors. I would have no hesitation in recommending your agency to others and will, of course, call you first should we require further appointments in the future. It has been a real pleasure working alongside you, and I look forward to future appointments together. I wish royall every success with all your future plans.” CEO, Global Experience Brand, March 2025.

Recruitment is always a strong indicator of market activity, and after a tentative start to the year, we are excited to say that it really feels like the industry is gaining momentum and showing strong signs of growth.

As the events and communication industry continues to evolve, flexibility remains a critical factor in attracting and retaining top talent. Our latest findings show that 56% of professionals prefer hybrid roles, 28% opt for fully remote positions, and only 17% favour full-time office-based work. This highlights the increasing demand for work-life balance, autonomy, and adaptability in the workplace.

Additionally, 61% of talent are drawn to medium-sized companies with clearly defined roles, while 73% consider salary a key factor when evaluating new opportunities. Well-being is a priority for 50% of candidates, and another 50% favour managing social or consumer B2C events over purely corporate roles, seeking more creativity and variety in their work.

Hybrid roles strike the ideal balance between collaboration and flexibility, making it easier for organisations to attract top talent, boost productivity, and enhance overall employee satisfaction.

If you would like to discuss any of these trends or explore how we can support your recruitment needs, please feel free to reach out and please take a look at the talent profiles below as examples of some of the exceptional talent we are working with at the moment.
